Your world, as an ontology.

Models forget between chats. The harness doesn't. Give each company, project or area of life a World, and Manwe keeps the people, goals, facts and constraints around it as connected objects every model and agent works from.

An object, its links and its memory history

Give ongoing work a World.

A World holds the people, goals, facts and constraints around a company, project, research topic or area of life. That connected record is Manwe's ontology: what the important things are, how they relate, and why they matter to your work.

Which context a conversation can see

Questions that fit the context

Choose what a World is about and answer the questions you can. Setup turns your answers into proposed context for you to check. Unknown details can stay unknown.

Moons for its parts

Put a product, client engagement or research project under its parent World. A Moon has its own context; parent memory and parent knowledge sources have separate controls.

Select it when relevant

Start a conversation inside a World or choose it in the composer. A general chat can stay in Chats. Manwe may suggest a matching World; you decide.

Remember facts. Learn preferences.

A deadline is a fact. Asking for one-page summaries again and again can become a preference. Both make later work more useful, and both stay in view.

How a preference forms

Repeated, consistent feedback

One request for a shorter answer matters in that conversation. When the same kind of correction keeps coming back, the on-device classifier becomes confident enough to keep it as a preference, which then shapes later tasks.

From corrections to a preference

Automatic, with Undo

Eligible facts you state can go straight to memory, with a Remembered note and Undo under the answer. Turn it off, or require review for a particular World.

Small classifiers on your Mac

Manwe learns patterns from retained corrections and choices on your Mac. This does not fine-tune the underlying language model.

Personal context has its own place

About you holds preferences that can apply across conversations when enabled. Project facts belong to their Worlds.

Three places a memory can be.

You should always be able to tell why context influences the work, and remove it when it no longer fits.

Memory

In use

Retained context Manwe can use in the right scope. Inspect it in What Manwe sees, or explore it on the memory map.

Review

Waiting for you

Proposed context waiting for your decision. It never enters an answer until you accept it.

Set aside

Kept, not used

Kept for reference but excluded from answers. Restore it whenever it becomes relevant again.

Questions

Does local learning mean all task data stays on my Mac?

No. Learning signals and classifiers stay on your Mac, but relevant memory can be sent to the cloud model you choose, like any other task context. Research and connected services have their own data flows.

Do connected knowledge bases appear in every chat?

No. Connecting an app makes requested app work available. Background knowledge assignments separately control which contexts can consult a source without you naming it.

Can I use Manwe without personal memory?

Yes. Personal memory is optional and has its own setting. You can also turn personal context off for an individual chat.

Is the memory map a source of truth?

It's a way to explore what's retained and how it connects. Connections help you navigate the record; they are not a guarantee that every association is meaningful.

How mature is this?

Memory and learning are early and improving quickly. Everything Manwe keeps can be inspected, undone or set aside, so you stay in charge while it matures.

Give your models a world to work in.
